Michael Spanos

Michael Spanos was born in Volos.

He graduated from the Department of Informatics at the School of Sciences at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2011).

He holds a Master’s Degree in “Informatics” with a specialization in “Communication Systems and Technologies,” from which he graduated in 2014 from the same university (with an interdepartmental scholarship, awarded for the highest performance in the first year of the Master’s program). He also holds a Master’s Degree in “Biomedical Research Methodology, Biostatistics, and Clinical Bioinformatics” from the Department of Medicine at the University of Thessaly, where he graduated in 2018.

From 2007 to 2015, he worked at Galanis Sports Data as a Live Event Manager. Since 2019, he has been employed as administrative and technical staff supporting postgraduate programs of the Department of Medicine at the University of Thessaly. Concurrently, he is a scientific associate at the Emergency Medicine Clinic at the University of Thessaly, as well as at the Laboratory of Computational Intelligence and Health Informatics at the Department of Nursing, School of Health Sciences, University of Thessaly. He also participates in research studies in the fields of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics.

Finally, he has attended training seminars on the implementation of the GDPR (EU) 2016/679.

Since October 2024, he has held the position of Special Technical Laboratory Staff (STLS) in the Department of Economics at the University of Thessaly.
